Welcome to the Bible in the Life of the Church Project
Let's be upfront about this. Anglicans are currently having some significant disagreements. How we read the Bible is part and parcel of those disagreements as well as a very important part of how we might move beyond them. The Bible in the Life of the Church Project has been set up to explore how Anglicans actually do read the Bible in practice.
This is the website and blog for Anglicans in the UK and Europe. Other regions will arrange their own ways of doing things as appropriate.
We hope you will join in by reflecting on how a group (or several groups) you belong to read the Bible. There are notes and guidance for group facilitators, and guidelines for observers to help you. Observations of how your group has engaged with the biblical texts can be emailed to us.
